Break through the key link of material sources! The safety design of the mining area has been successfully approved
It is reported that the Zhangjiashan mining area serves as a dedicated sand and gravel quarry for the Baokang section of the Yangtze River Diversion Project. It is the last supporting mining right to be secured along the entire route, primarily responsible for supplying concrete aggregates and pea gravel for sections 3, 4, 5, and 6 of the project. The successful review of the safety facility design has improved the compliance procedures for mining area
construction, providing a stable and reliable source of self-supplied materials for the tunnel lining and segment prefabrication of the Baokang section of the Yangtze River Diversion Project. This will lay a solid material foundation for the steady progress of the subsequent mainline projects.
Recently, the safety facility design review meeting for the open-pit mining project of the Zhangjiashan sand and gravel quarry (construction dolomite mine in Zhangjiashan mining area, Baokang County) of the Yinjiang Buhan 4th bid project of China Railway 18th Bureau Tunnel Company was successfully held.
After rigorous review by the expert panel, the safety facility design of the mining area passed the review unanimously, marking that the last supporting mining right of the entire line will soon be transferred to the infrastructure construction stage.

The review meeting was organized by the Xiangyang Emergency Management Bureau, and a review expert group consisting of seven industry senior experts from Wuhan University of Technology, Sinosteel Wuhan Safety and Environmental Protection Institute, Hubei Geological and Mining Development Co., Ltd., etc. was invited. Relevant leaders from China South-to-North Water Diversion Jianghan Water Network Company, China Railway 18th Bureau, and other units attended the meeting.
